BRIC is an acronym that refers to Brazil, Russia, Indian a China—four countries considered to be at a similar state of newly advanced economic development. A Goldman Sachs report in 2003 speculated that by 2050 these four economies would be wealthier than most of the current major economic powers. It is believed that  China and India will become the world's dominant suppliers of manufactured goods and services, while Brazil and Russia will become similarly dominant as suppliers of raw materials. To that end, it's important for HR leaders to be familiar with the cultures and business practices in these countries as their roles in our own economies emerge:
